This is the image for the news article titled PTSA STUDENT ELECTIONS‚ÄčThe 2018 PTSA election season has begun!

Mr. Cutler and Ms. Saffioti visited all fourth grade classrooms on Friday to explain the election procedure and our fifth and sixth graders are already familiar with how this all works.

Students who wish to run have until September 12 to pick up a petition and campaign information sheet in the main office in order to become a candidate.

In order to qualify as a candidate, a student must get 10 signatures from students in their own grade as well as receive a signature of approval from a parent or guardian.

Once the campaign begins, students may put posters up around the building, hire campaign managers and participate in a candidate's forum by grade level if they want to present a speech promoting their candidacy.  Negative campaigning is strictly forbidden.

Secret ballot voting will take place on September 24 in homeroom as all students will will vote by grade level for the student who will represent their grade on the PTSA.   Election results will be announced at the end of the day on the 24th.

We are very proud of all the students who have chosen to run for PTSA representative and wish all of them a great campaign!
